Dr. Debnarayan Dutta

Janet Hayes Southerland is currently the chairperson of the Department of Hospital Dentistry and chief of the oral medicine service at University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and Hospitals and Clinics. Southerland holds numerous degrees from UNC, including DDS and Ph.D, according to the school’s website. She has served as chair of the dentistry department and chief of the Oral Medicine Service since 2002. Meharry, the nation’s largest private historically black college dedicated to educating health care professionals and scientists, enrolls about 55 dental students a year.
