Abstract

Adult fibrosarcoma is a rare type of soft tissue sarcoma composed solely of fibroblasts. Often arising from deep soft tissues and sometimes not being painful, this type of tumor can be difficult to diagnose from clinical point of view. Pathological examination correlated with immunohistochemical and clinical data leads us to make a correct diagnose and treatment. We present a rare case of adult-type fibrosarcoma of the scapular area in an old pacient, discussing clinical, surgical, pathological and immunohistochemical details and the steps we took for solving this case.
